Refund Policy

When we refund a payment, how to ask, and what paying in crypto changes.

Last updated Sep 6, 2026

Before you launch: replace the bracketed placeholders below with your registered entity name, address and jurisdiction, and have these documents reviewed by a lawyer in the country you operate from. They describe how this software actually behaves, but they are not legal advice.

1. What you are buying

A Pro payment of $2 / month buys 30 days of access to FlowNote — this service, at https://flownote.cc, on the account that made the payment. It is not a purchase of tokens, a stored balance, or an investment of any kind.

2. Try before you pay

Every account gets 5 free notes with the full editor and search. We ask you to use them before paying, because it is the honest way to find out whether the product suits you.

3. When we refund

We will refund a payment in full if:

  • you ask within 14 days of the payment confirming, and the subscription was not used to create notes beyond the free allowance; or
  • you were charged twice for the same period, or a payment was credited to the wrong account; or
  • the service was unavailable for a prolonged period during your paid month and you tell us about it; or
  • your local consumer law gives you a right to cancel that overrides this policy.

4. When we usually do not

  • Partial months. A subscription that is cancelled mid-period runs to the end of the days already paid for and is not pro-rated.
  • Periods that have already been used to create notes past the free allowance — the thing you bought was delivered.
  • Exchange-rate movement between paying and refunding. See the next section.
  • Accounts terminated for breaking the Terms of Service.

5. What crypto changes

Cryptocurrency transfers cannot be reversed by us. A refund is a new outgoing transaction, which means:

  • we need a wallet address from you, and we send to that address only — we cannot “undo” the original payment;
  • we refund the USD value of your payment, sent in the same asset you paid with. If that asset's price has moved, the coin amount you receive will differ from the amount you sent;
  • network fees for the refund transaction are deducted from the amount sent;
  • we cannot refund to an exchange deposit address that does not credit incoming transfers correctly, and we are not responsible for funds lost to a wrong address you supply.

6. Underpaid and overpaid invoices

If a transfer arrives short of the invoiced amount, the subscription does not activate and the payment shows as partially paid on your billing page. Contact us and we will either complete the activation once the rest arrives or return what was received, minus network fees. Overpayments are returned the same way.

7. How to request one

Email [email protected] from the address on the account, with the payment date and the reason. You will find the payment in your billing history. We reply within 5 business days and, once approved, send the refund within 10 business days.

8. Chargebacks

Crypto payments have no chargeback mechanism. If something has gone wrong, contacting us is the only route — and we would rather fix it than argue about it.
